A delightful book to read over and over again
A Note From The Author
"The very strange bed of Annabella Smyth" is a beautiful rhythmic story about a young woman living in a round house with three cats a dog and a bat. The house has round chairs, round tables; round mats and Annabella sleeps in a big round bed.
I think one of the most important things our children should know, no two people are the same. We are all unique individuals. Our uniqueness and differences are the signatures of who we are. This uniqueness and differences should be celebrated; it is what makes us human. It is what makes us who we are.
We all have something we are good at.
I think it is important we find love and understand who we are. We all have unique qualities, a unique design of self, this is sometime seemingly seen as faults or differences. Well it probably is different, different to the person next door or the person down the street. Can you imagine if all our differences were cultivated and moulded into gifts at a young age, what an exciting world we would have.
When I was young this would have been seen as virtually impossible now it is a different story. People are waking up all over the world and moving away from what is seen as the norm and embracing what is seen as out of the box. Annabelle is out of the box she is a circle in a square world
Could you imagine what we would be like if we felt safe to embraced both our beautiful perfect us and the not so beautiful un-perfect us, and begin to understand these things are both part of who we are and that these two things are what make us so amazing.
